BEE VENOM AND ITS USES

 Bee venom is made by bees.This is poison that makes bee stings pain full.Bee venom is used to make medicine other venoms are derived from related members of insect order Hymenoptera. Bee venom also called apitoxin,contain many biological active compounds.Anti-inflammatory and inflammatory compounds,including sugars,minerals,amino .acids and enzymes.

                                                                               

 

COMPONENTS OF VENOM

MELITTIN

A compound that consists of 26 amino acids-comprise about 50% of the dry weight of the venom and has been contains antiviral,antibacterial and anticancer effects.Studies have also suggested that melittin that inhibit the expression of inflammattory gene that cause the painful tissue swelling in rheumatiod arthritis.

PEPTIDES

Bee venom also contain peptides apamine and adolapin.Although they act as toxins,they have been shown,the posses anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.

PHOSPHOLIPASE A2

it is an enzyme and major allergen that causes inflammatory and cell damage.Neverthless,according to some research,the enzyme may also have anti inflammatory and immune protective effects.
Substance in bee venom have been both positive and negative effects.

KILLS THE HIV VIRUS

New research show that nanoparticles carrying toxin found in bee venom are capable of destroying HIV cells while leaving other insect.Researches at washington university in St.louis (wo) say they have found a way to effective destroy the HIV virus using toxin found in bee venom.
